New FX Edition Joins Corolla Family For 2025

The Corolla lineup is getting a new addition with the 2025 Toyota Corolla FX Edition. The new special edition will come in three colors and debut the new Toyota Audio Multimedia system with a 10.5-inch screen. Westbury Toyota is here to let you in on all the details.

Throwback To the Corolla FX16

The FX Edition is a throwback to the Corolla FX16 that was on the streets as far back as 1987. This new version brings a more modern, sporty flare to the Corolla lineup. It's based on the SE model but adds new features like an enhanced rear spoiler.

The FX Edition also gets new wheels with 18-inch alloys sporting machined accents and black lug nuts. Other sporty and cool features include a blacked-out roof, black badging, and black mirror caps. The new Corolla model comes in Midnight Black Metallic, Underground, and Ice Cap paint colors.

Built on the TNGA-C Platform

All of the new Corolla models are constructed on the TNGA-C platform, which features a robust and rigid structure and a low center of gravity. The Corolla comes standard with an independent MacPherson-style strut front suspension with a stabilizer.

This build type gives the Corolla excellent handling, agility, and a comfortable ride. The 2025 Toyota Corolla FX Edition sits lower than the rest with its standard lowering springs to provide a striking, aggressive stance. Electric power steering adds tuning for a genuine sports car feel.

Spirited Performance

The Corolla delivers both performance and economy across the model range. Under the hood of the 2025 Toyota Corolla FX Edition, you'll find a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, 16-valve engine. The Dynamic Force engine uses dual variable valve timing, making up to 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. This gives the Corolla spirited performance, but it's also reasonably efficient, with up to 34 MPG combined.

Exciting New Interior Look and Tech

The new Corolla FX Edition also gets some nice upgrades for the interior. The upholstery is made of Moonstone Sport fabric with orange stitching. Meanwhile, the 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia screen makes its first appearance on the Corolla. It's standard for the FX Edition, but it will be available as an option for the other models. A seven-inch multi-info display and wireless charger are also standard on the Corolla FX. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard as well.
